Hello 2012

We're already nearly two months into 2012 and it's been one heck of a year so far! So let's catch up...

...before you ask, no, I still have haven't edited our wedding pictures to share yet. I know...I can hardly believe it myself. Hopefully, when you read the rest of this you'll understand why.

Since the wedding, the holidays went by in a blur, which isn't unusual. We attended all the usual parties and spent time with friends and family. We kept the gift giving to a minimum since we were just coming off the wedding as well as contracting to have a patio put in the back yard. That was probably one of the best Christmas presents ever! We haven't had the opportunity to really get out yet and enjoy it, but as the weather gets nicer, it's only a matter of time.

At the beginning of December, I got word that I had an offer on my townhouse which had been on the market since September. Then, just before the New Year, I got a call to interview for a position with George Washington University. I began interviewing in January and was offered the position! I started work at the beginning of February and just a couple weeks after starting the job, I closed on the sale of the townhouse! I also managed to file all of the paperwork to register my photography business as an LLC and have been working with a great design team to get my logo and website up and running. Talk about a busy couple of months.

And now, we're preparing for our belated honeymoon...to Hawaii! March will find me turning 35 on my belated honeymoon in Hawaii with my wonderful husband, a new job and a huge financial burden lifted from my shoulders. Of course, when I get home, the wedding photos, along with the honeymoon photos and several personal projects will be tops on my list of things to do. See you in March!
